Ed's Gardening in Buellton, CA March 2001

Water Lines when straight on the mounds.  While the seedlings aren't ready for planting yet, Ed will get the garden ready.  If the ground is too wet to work when the seedlings are ready, the garden is ready for the planting.  This allows for Ed to have his plants in the ground at the most opportune time.  Silver paper will be put on the ground to keep the moisture in, weeds down, etc.

Gardening tools are stored in the little lean to that in the summer months will give some potted plants a shade area for hot summer days.  It is also a place where Ed will dry those large onions that he grows.

In the bedding boxes A meat thermometer keeps the temperature at the correct one.  Ed will open the glass top or close more depending on the temp out side.  These are built waist high.

As you will notice not all the seed germinate at the same time or sometimes never.

The 3 seedling boxes are open today.
