In keeping with tradition, downtown Solvang will twinkle with thousands of sparkling white lights.

December 4, at 5 PM.  Friday.  After the Tree lighting in the park,
(at the corner of Mission Dr & First St) Friday, will be
free musical entertainment, refreshments and caroling
followed by the arrival of Santa Claus.

December 5 , Saturday, the Annual Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus
as grand marshals. (Starts at Old Mission Santa Ines [1760 Mission Drive] travels West
on Mission Dr [Highway 240] turns left on Fourth St, turns Left on Copenhagen DR,
and ends on Alisal Road at the Solvang Post Office.)

Parade entries include Danish dancers, musical groups, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages
and other animals.

December 12, The Christmas Story will come to life with a Nativity Pageant at the
outdoor Solvang Festival Theater, 420 Second St.  FREE Shows @ 5 and 7 P.M.
will include a choir, actors in traditional costumes, and live animals on stage.
Seating will be first-come, first-served, and the shows will be cancled in the event
of rain.

December 18, Friday a community Winter Solstice Party is planned at 6 PM in
Solvang Park, with candle lighting, carolers and singing of all ages.
