How to Make an Oven-Puffed Pancake
So Easy!  So Impressive

These pretty party pancakes are pretty impressive.  And, watching them bake is almost as much fun as eating them?  The puffiness comes from the steam produced as the batter bakes.  Follow these simple steps and your puffed pancakes will be just as lovely as the restaurant kind.

Step 1.  Get all the ingredients ready.   Turn on the oven and, while it's heating, mix the batter. (Use any of your favorite or even the box  pancake mix.) Put the margarine or butter in the  pan and melt it in the oven just until the margarineor butter begins to sizzle (2 to 4 minutes)

Step 2.  Remove the pan from the oven and tilt the pan to coat the bottom with margarine or butter.  Pour the batter into the hot pan.  Bake the pancake at 425 degrees F. for 14 to 18 minutes or until it is puffed and golden brown.

Step 3.  Top with your favorite topping, jelly, jam, syrup, powder sugar, etc.   Drizzled raspberry jam from the Solvang Area is Great!

Thanks to my friend Sally Stuck who passed it on from the Pillsbury Classic Know-How©
