If you would like help contact the
Taxi Service to give you a tour of the valley.

Solvang is nestled in between many small villages.  You drove through Buellton when you turned off 101 to come into Solvang.  If you had gone the opposite way - West - you would have driven into Lompoc home of the Vandenberg Air Force Base.

If you came from the north on 101 (35 minutes) you drove through Santa Maria with the western flavor of California.  It has golf courses, wineries, and steak houses that are wonderful. Home of the large Elks lodge that is known in the area for helping all the children, and a world class Rodeo 1st week end in June each year.

Coming to Solvang on 101 from the South you drive through Santa Barbara just 40 minutes away.  Santa Barbara has the harbor, mission, golf courses, etc. and is the county seat of Santa Barbara County.

Wineries are plentiful in the area and world class.  Firestone has been served at the White House on many occasions.  We also have a Danish Beer that is Solvang's own.

Golf Courses are plentiful and close enough that you could spend over a week in Solvang going to a different course everyday.   As always you may also contact the courses and make the reservations but, there is not a charge for Janice's services and she is very knowledgeable.

Chumash Indian Casino is between Solvang and Santa Ynez.  Approximately 3 - 4 minutes from Solvang.

Antique Shopping in the area is fun and all within a fun drive in the quiet of the country side of the valley.
